How to detail - the akarei way

Summer is the season of road trips, car meets, and late-night drives—but it’s also tough on your paint, interior, and wheels. From harsh UV rays to baked-on bugs and dust, your car needs a little extra care to stay looking flawless. Here’s how to protect your pride and joy all summer long..

tip 1: shield against the sun

The sun is your paint’s biggest enemy in summer, causing fading and oxidation.

- Apply a Ceramic Sealant or wax for UV protection and a slick, glossy finish. (Akarei Wax & Sealants Coming Soon!)

- Reapply every few weeks to keep the shield strong.

Bonus Tip: Park in the shade or use a car cover whenever possible.

Tip: Never pre-wash a dry car. Soak it first for better coverage. And don’t let your snow foam dry on the car, if it’s a hot day. Always rinse them off before they can dry.

tip 2: wash your car more often

Summer dust, pollen, and dried-on bugs can damage paint if left too long.

- Pre-wash with Yuki – Snow Foam & Pre-Wash to remove any insect residue, dust or pollen.

- Follow with Kumo – Car Shampoo for a safe wash using the two bucket method ( We go over this in our "How To Detail" Guide).

Why: Regular washing prevents contaminants from etching into your clear coat.

Bonus Tip: Don't let the snow foam or shampoo dry out! This will cause swirls or even damage your paint!

Tip 3: Care for your wheels and tyres

Brake dust builds faster in the heat and can bond to alloys.

- Use a dedicated wheel cleaner and soft brushes. Senjō - Wheel Cleaner is a great option, it reacts to remove the fallout turning purple as it breaks through the contamination.

- Protect your tyres with a dressing to prevent cracking and fading in the sun. (Akarei tyre gloss coming soon!)
